SHOE DAY!
Today was a big day in Hairspray because... Edna’s pink size 14 EE shoes came in and they fit! We’re not letting Robert Aubry Davis rehearse in them yet but piece by piece Edna is coming together for her big debut next month. Between all the shoes and wig fittings, we managed to get a lot of music done today, nailing down the harmonies for the big production numbers. Sherri Edelen, our Velma, is jumping up and down with excitement at the sound of all the kids singing together. In her own words, “Hey y’all, this is like being in church! This is so damn exciting!”
